BOOK NAME: Diary of a Wimpy Kid
AUTHOR: Jeff Kinney

If you want to read a funny book, check this book out of the library and start reading. It’s about a wimpy kid who is going into middle school. His name is Greg Heffley. His older brother, whose name is Rodrick, is going into high school and Greg has all of Rodrick’s old teachers. They think Greg is going to be just as much of a problem as his older brother.

As you might guess, this book is Greg’s diary and is arranged by date. It has neat writing, just like a kid’s writing, and lots of cartoon drawings. It covers the school year and ends in the summer. Since Greg is just starting middle school, he is trying to fit in and be popular. He and his friend Rowley try to hang with the cool kids and talk to them, but they just ignore him and walk away. One time, right after Christmas, Greg and Rowley are playing with a scooter and Rowley breaks his arm. The popular girls make a big deal over Rowley’s broken arm and even though Greg was there he gets ignored like usual.

He also doesn’t get much help from the teachers because they embarrass him because they think he’s going be a troublemaker like his brother. But Greg is a good student and really good in class.

I think you should read this book because it has lot of funny parts that Greg and Rowley do together in their 6th grade year to fit in. It also shows that the best way to fit in to be yourself.

I started reading this book on funbrain.com but I got to read actual book only 2 days ago. And thats when I got to borrow it from my school library. This book was hilarious.And great review although it sounds like the books.

If you love this book then you tottaly need to check out the Ellie McDoodle series, I read that book it 2 days it was soooo good! I couldn’t put it down!

if you like to read funny books then this is the right book for you!! this book is also very funny. seriuosly i read all the series and it is hillarous. my dad brought the book from the library and i read the book in one night. the best part of the book that i like is the pictures.

I just finished it on Monday. It’s good that I’m doing this because I have to do a book review on this book when I get back to school and this helps me practice. Okay. I got a lot of the parts in this book but some are unfamiliar with me because I am a girl, not a boy. Still, I thought it was absolutely HILARIOUS! My favorite part was when Greg wrote his aunt a Christmas thank you for the pants she gave him! Here it is:
Dear aunt Loretta,
Thank you so much for the awesome pants!
How did you know I wanted that for Christmas?
I love the way the pants look on my legs!
All my friends will be so jealous that I have my very own pants.

Believe it or not, my whole school started the cheese touch after reading this book! Someone must have touched a stinky piece of cheese or something to mimic the book. I got the cheese touch a couple of times, but I think it’s all kind of silly.

I love this one. I read this one within like a day. I’m a really really fast reader. I read a “sneak-peek” on the “Dog Days” book. Pretty cool. I love ALL the “Diary of a Wimpy Kid”s book. If I were a critic, I would give this a 10/10, two thumbs up!

I sometimes have to read these books alone at my house because it’s kind of weird to see a girl reading a boy’s diary, if you know what I mean. Now I am reading Rodrick Rules and it most likely has even greater hilarity than the first book! Rock out Dogeared, and see you later!

I finished Rodrick Rules, the second book, this past weekend. It was pretty good, considering it’s a sequel and all. I sometimes don’t know about sequels to books, and here’s why:
First Thing, an author comes up with a really great idea, like Diary of A Wimpy Kid. The author gets really original and dressy with the story of the first book, making you really want to read the second book.
Second Thing, the author kind of wavers on the story line for the second book a bit, deciding what to do with it. When he or she finally decides a storyline to go with, they realize something: the sequel cannot be as good as the first book, because the first one had such strong originality.
Third Thing, when the sequel is done, the author is in the style of writing sequels, and he or she continues his or her work in the same matter and goes along with the series happily.
So, as I said before, Jeff Kinney did an excellent job with this sequel. It’s thruthfully a great book! But this is what I think happens to a lot of authors when they get to sequels. Anyways, just my opinion, and I happen to take this stuff way too seriously, so just remember it’s only an opinion. Signing off, Majestic Sea Turtle. Good night everyone!

Okay, just for the record, the Diary of A Wimpy Kid movie was, in a word, AWESOME! It was so darn funny, the first part where Greg’s brother Rodrick plays a prank on him was priceless. I could easily see my older brother doing that, if I had one that is. In the middle of the night, Greg comes down the stairs and chugs milk and frosted flakes hyperspeed, because Rodrick changed his clock to the time that his school started on the second to last week of Summer. His family was like “GREG! Why are you up at 2:00 in the morning?!” and when Greg tells on Rodrick, he pretends to be sleeping innocently. To add to the effect of morning, Rodrick closed all the shades, so Greg was incredulous. Everyone, whether you’re 1 or 100, should see this movie.

Okay… i thought Judy Moody was funny until I started reading the series. The cheese touch{LOL}in the book made my buds start a Lee touch. so now it’s like cheese touch in real life! This book is awesome!I’ve read it at least 5 times already!
And the funniest part was the “Cheese Touch” and I was like gross! But this book shares how Greg Heffly spend the “half of his life” without his best friend—Rowley Jefferson and Greg helped him when Rowley ate the “Mouldy Cheese”on the basketball court.And Chirag Gupta,so called-The smallest kid in the grade, warned Greg and Rowley about the “Cheese Touch”.
MY favriote character is Manny and The character that I hate is Patty Farrell because of her attitude.And you all should check out the movie too!It’s funny and intresting!Duh,espeacially Manny doing all sorts of tricks and making all sorts of lies to trick Greg.It’s a good book,you all should read it!

this is the funniest book ever written!!It really reminds me of my family,roderick as my sister teresa,manny as my 6 year old sister(But I Only tweee!),mom as,well,mom,and dad as dad.I also think greg might be a little like me.I think the cheese parts were really really really gross and disgusting.
