I liked this book a lot! The man who wrote the book really did go to Africa to spend time with all of the animals. He wrote about and took pictures of leopards, hyenas, lions, elephants, impalas, wild dogs, hippos, rhinos, bugs, alligators, dung beetles, and cheetahs. The pictures of the animals were AWESOME! 

I liked the leopards story the best. I liked this story because I thought it was good. The mother cared for her cubs by protecting them from the people when they got too close by growling and she fed them and she let them play on the rocks, tackle each other on the grass under her watchful eye. 

The saddest part was when the mom and the dad lions were hunting and the three cubs were found by the wild buffaloes. One of the lion cubs was found dead on the ground, one cub was hiding in a small bush and breathing hard because it was so scared. The author came back the next morning and found two of the cubs with their mom. This was sad but it is nature’s life. I recommend this book because it had good pictures and good words to describe the animals.

    I think the book sounds interesting. I have always loved animals, and it would be great to see African animals from a point of view from someone who has seen them personally.

    This book reminds me of my brother a lot he is a huge animal lover, i’m not as big as he is but it souds emotinal and that is how i like my books!

    That really reminds me of my brother, mainly because he is SUCH an animal lover. Me, well I’m actually a poet, not a published poet yet. I’m also a sucker for sob stories and this books rewiew you posted itself makes me cry. I also have a question, how do you actually post a review because I don’t know how. I am tottaly going to check this book out!

    I’m like spock9, I post quite a bit, and this is only my 3rd or 4th day as a member! I get NG Magazine and since you are an animal lover you might like it a bunch, because it has tons of animal stories!

    Haha, now I have commented on all the books. WORLD DOMINATION!!! Ahem. Sorry. Speaking of which, read the Artemis Fowl series by Eoin Colfer! They’re about a 12-year-old criminal mastermind who tangles with the fairy folk, who live underground and are armed and dangerous. Plus, they’re funny, too!

    Hi said. Do you have a username, yet? I also get NG Kids. I love it! Hey, Will, do you know what cryptozoology is? It’s the study of hidden animals. I am a crypto-enthusiast. You should post a cryptozoology book on here because you’re an animal lover. Cryptids are basically unknown animals.

    Okay, I agree with what spock9 said, as usual. I don’t get NG kids the magazine, but I do get Muse magazine (thus the username), and it’s similar. And MKScatlover, I LOVE the 39 Clues series!

    We have this book at home, and it has some awesome pictures. Our book was signed by the author. He knows the chimp lady, Jane Goodall. Good book review!

    I read that you like chicken nuggets and frenck fries. I did too. One day, we got McDonalds and they messed up my order and got me a Double Cheese Burger. Now I get that everytime we go! You should try it, Will!

    Dude i got to agree with you on that i have that book know i just got done reading it that book was amazing i just love animals and this book was perfect i liked the hyenas and the lion story the best

    I should read this book. I love animals and I want to see them in the wild. My dad once saw a cougar in the wild!
    EVERYONE should get NG kids magazine. Even grownups!!

    Even though I haven’t read the book before, I have seen those things on the National Geographic Channel related to this kind of this. Yes, it is really sad. :( I never really wanted to be near a big lion or something.. I guess I will just settle for a little house cat. :)
