BOOK NAME: Guinness World Records 2010: The Book of The Decade

If you like to see real-life weird things and lots of cool pictures, you’ll want to read this book. I’ve been a big fan of the Guinness World Records ever since I first learned about them when I was 7. I received the 2008 book from my parents for Christmas last year and really enjoyed looking at all the pictures and amazing records. But the 2010 book is even better because it has cooler records. My favorite record in the new book is the “Fastest Time to Solve a Rubik’s Cube by a Robot,” which is 1 minute and 4 seconds. (How is that even possible?)

I thought the most unusual record was “Most Underpants Worn At The Same Time,” which was 137. The photo in the book shows the winner wearing all the underwear and he looks like a baby wearing a huge black diaper. Another favorite is the “Highest Popping Toaster,” which is 8 feet and 6 inches. I don’t know why someone would need toast shot as high as the ceiling, but the photo in the book of the toast high above the inventor’s head is amazing. I’ve spent hours looking at all the pictures and records in this book and I can’t get enough of it. I might set a new record for most time spent looking at one book.

    this is kind of a tough book to just pick up and read but its cool to take it a chapter a week… there’s a man who made himself like a lizard. and a lady who popped her eyes out. theres also a dude who eats metal and stuff… it’s tight.(good)

    Books like this aren’t beast(awesome) because these books are FAKE books. If you really want to read pick p an awesome book TWLIGHT! the best series in the world. Not a fake not chapter book even if it is cool.

    HEY!!!!!!! THEY ARE REAL!!!! and im not a fan of twilight. some girl said that in one of the books (i think its the last) bella’s child (in the womb) tried to come out to eat her (and im HONEST!!!) GUINESS 4EVA!!!!!!!

    i never used to get into these type of books. i want to be avolcanologist and enjoy reading books havingtodowith this subject. i also get into earthquakes and such! sounds like alot of fun and interesting things to read.

    I would LOVE to read this book! I love looking at the records. Have you seen the videos that NG Kids has of GWR? There’re awesome! You NEED to them!

    This book is sooooooooo awsome! There was a dad who was 131 and a mother that had 8 children- all at once!!!
    It can be soo distracting though!

    I looked at this book before. Its crazy, and I think what jesusfreak7 said was from the 2009 book. I have the 2009 one. Those people in there are CRAZY!!!
    In the 2009 one, it had a Chinese puppy (I think it was Chinese) it was mixed breed. But on this dog was really rare. In his fur, there was a heart shaped patch of brown fur on him. It was soooooo cute. But yeah, I’ve seen and looked at this book before. Its CRAZY!!!!!

    I have the 2003 and the 2008 one… I loved them all. Has anyone read any Ripleys books? His books are kinda like this one…but his just has CRAAAAAAAZZZIER people in it. Some of them even I didn’t belive!

    I’ve wanted one for a while… But I haven’t gotten one yet. I want to try and get the next one, if I ever do! :) I really do want one, I’d just rip out or cover up the pages that deal with bugs.

    Oh, and as for you, Emma, I’ve never read those books you love so much, and NEVER will. Who would want to, that is, if you LOVE to study about the Lewsi & Clark expadition!
