BOOK NAME: Blessed Child
AUTHORS: Ted Dekker and Bill Bright

For 10 years Caleb was raised in a monastery by Father Matthew. When his life was threatened, relief expert Jason Marker and French Canadian nurse Leiah risked everything for the precious life of this young boy. After being taken away from his easy, calm life in a monastery, Caleb’s relationship with Jason and Leiah gets stronger, but at the same time his faith is slowly fading. Caleb cures many people, but can he cure himself and make things right with God? Will God forgive his sins and renew his faith?

The attention towards Caleb isn’t the only reason some people despise him. Caleb happens to know something about a man running for president that nobody else knows about. He has no desire to tell anyone about this valuable information, but if he did this man’s popularity would be corrupted. Caleb doesn’t know what is in store for him and he doesn’t have much time to figure it out!

The amount of faith Caleb has amazes me! In my mind, Caleb is just a small, innocent boy, but when he felt a certain way, I felt it too. The author did a glorious job getting me into the book. Honestly, I attempted to read this book once before, but just wasn’t ready to read it! Then I started again and was interested in it. It doesn’t matter if you’re a guy or a girl… this book is enjoyable! I really hope that y’all read it and that it “grabs” you like it did to me!

2whitie, I actually hope you DO read it. It was real good! It took me a while to get into it, but when I was ready to read it… I enjoyed it!

Emma, I actually got that book from one of my grandparents, but I’m sure you could get it in any book store. I’m pretty sure of it.

Crocks04, actually this book isn’t an adult book. It is more for all ages. Pretty much for teens. I’m 13. You might wanna check with your parents before you read his other books though. Ted Dekker doesn’t really say on his books what ages they are for. I even thought the book “House” by Ted Dekker and Bill Bright was a kid book, but this woman from my church said it WASN’T at any rate a kid’s book. I hope this helps ya out a bunch!

    DanielRadcliffe4586, yeah… it really is!

Hi,I used to be a christian, but now I see myself as more of a free thinker.I believe this book is for people of any religion.I think books about religion do not necessarily mean they r meant for the religious type.I do like the sound of this book, and i think i wld enjoy quite much,as they reflect people’s who r similar to us’s thoughts(i noe,i dun think ,’us’s’ is even an actual word either!)I am really glad i found this blog,as i didnt noe of any people who shared the same interests as me(namely, reading)Hope to read this book soon.

my one friend read House. I’ll have to ask her how she liked it. She showed me part of it. looked interesting. Have you read Frank Peretti’s two books called Hangman’s Curse and Nightmare Academy? Two GREAT books. I liked the second one better!

luv2read, I’d like to read House, by one of my Mom’s friends read it and about wet her pants. I like to be scared, but I don’t know if it’s wise to read it now. I might read that later on.
I’ll have to try those other books, though.
Check out my favorite book “Dizzy” by Cathy Cassidy!

I am totally into Ted Dekker. My one friend (the same that read “House”) recommended I read his book “Blink” (or “Blink of an Eye”), I really liked it then I read “Skin”, “Thr3e”, and I’m working on the third graphic novel of The Circle Trilagy, “White” (I know it’s spelled wrong).
I saw this book in my church library, and I got Thr3e instead. I highly recommend any of his books. My overall was fav Thr3e, though. “Thr3e” and “Blink” were turned into movies. I’ve never watched either. I also think “House” is a movie, too.

I changed my username from luv2read to love2read b/c I forgot my password. Anyway, I saw the movie “Thr3e”. It’s not very good. It did kind of creep me out a little though. I would say you should read the book first.
I also read the sequel to “Blessed Child”. AWESOME book! I loved it! I would totally read it if I were you.
