Freshwater is incredibly precious. All humans need water to live, but by 2050, a third of all people may not have a dependable source of clean water to drink. National Geographic’s new Freshwater area is full of information on the Earth’s sources of freshwater and the challenges that face them, as well as ways to protect this vital resource.

Freshwater is SOOOOOOOOOO important. I once did a science project on pH levels and different types of water and the research I had to do showed that freshwater is beyond important.
Stop pollution in our rivers if we want to lower this number! A third of all the people in the world is just way too many. Thats probably over billions of people. There’s probably over billions of people in your country right now!

I believe that fresh water is very precious indeed. Of the 3% that is fresh water, only 1% of that 3 we can get to. 1 percent is frozen, another is buried, and the other is in lakes, rivers, and oceans. That’s the one we can get to. So, I believe that we must do everything to save our supply of freshwater.
