My favorite book when I was seven was “Matilda” by Roald Dahl and “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” which is by him too. My favorite book when I was eight, though, was The Boxcar Children series. My favorite book when I was nine was the Ramona Series by Beverly Cleary. When I was ten it was probably “Ida B. and Her Plans to Maximize Fun, Avoid Disaster, and Possibly Save the World.” When I was eleven it was either “My Life in Pink and Green” or “Sixth Grade Glommers, Norks, and Me.” When I turned twelve it was the Nancy Drew Series. :) I also like the Softwire series (I don’t remember the name of the author.)

I loved Gilda Joyce physic investigator.i read that um this year or last year?i cant remember:D.

I have loved the nancy drew and the boxcar children series since i was 9/10,and also adore the hardy boys series.I want to read a series of unfortunate events but i watched the movie,so it too the fun out of reading it.I also read a lot of crime and adult fiction, and recently read Dan Brown’s The Da Vinci Code, and found its views on religion intrigiung. Also,it was thrilling as all the incidents are packed tightly into a twenty four hour time fame,so i had to hold on tight for the ride.I bought it for twelve bucks.(singapore dollars)Also, there are so many twists and turns, and backstabbing, you never know who’s the REAL bad guy next.Though i would not advise it to others my age(12),i read it cause in s’pore, people mature waaayyy too fast. But if your openminded, you should definitely read it.It will totally change your perceptions of life.I also liked the Teen Inc. Series, which i read when i was 10. I BOught a million other books as well, real cheap.but the one i absolutely LOVED so far This year would have to be The Phantom Of The Opera by Simon Guille or something.its a puffin book, btw.ITS REALLYYY GOOOODDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!It really makes you think about controversial issues, being skin deep, and the monstrosity you can become if your born unluckily ugly.SUPER ugly. Its old fashioned romantic too,so its child safe,no adult themes, swear words, none of that.READ THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA!!!!!!its touching and inspiring

Thats a few of my recommendations.

But some of my favorite books are The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, The Gatekeepers series by Anthony Horowitz, The BFG and Danny the Champion of the World , both by Roald Dahl, The Giver by Lois Lowry, and last but not least, And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie. Hmmmmmmm……I’m thinking…..
When I was young….(though it’s not like I’m really old now)
    1. Boxcar Children. These were a breakthrough for me because I finally found a plain mystery book. I always loved how responsible they were.
    2. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. This was one that I read over and over.
    Now…………..
    1. Harry Potter. How could I not?
    2. Warriors. I love all the action and suspense and even liked the cats. (I’m really a dog fan.)
I really recommend Warriors. There are other books too, since my mom is a librarian and I spend a lot of time there

Harry Potter and Warriors are really awesome. I started and finished HP in the same summer (really, I’m a super fast reader) and I have read the first Warriors book. It was good, but I didn’t exactly rush to read the next book as soon as possible.

SlyShadow- I remember Frog and Toad! I read one in school for OCR.
Hey- is Mattimeo part of the the Redwall series? I read those and liked them. As for Percy Jackson, I’m not to into it. To many monsters that are sort of gross.
Has anyone ever read 11 Birthdays? It’s actually pretty good.

Hey, Crocks04, don’t you think And Then There Were None is too creepy? I haven’t read the book, but I saw their movie and my brother and mom has read it.
MAGGAZ- Hunger Games seems a too grim for me. My brother has read it though, and really liked it, but I have a feeling I won’t read it for a while.

    Hello everyone,
My favourite book when i was young was the faraway tree written by Enid Blyton. It’s fairy land was so appealing to a little girl.
Now, my favourite series of books is Trixie Belden. I love the way she always gets involved in mysteries.
I also love old war stories as I enjoy history and
can’t wait till i can do NZCA history soon.
