One in Five Lizards Extinct by 2080?

A new study predicts that one out of every five lizard species will be extinct by 2080 if global warming continues. When it gets too hot to be in the sun, lizards must hide in the shade and rest, because they are cold-blooded animals and can’t adjust their body temperature. If the Earth’s temperature gets warmer, lizards will spend more time hiding in the shade and less time hunting or laying eggs. Warmer temperatures may mean that lizards starve to death.

Wow! lizards are so awesome! I would die if they were extinct. not literally though. Poor little lizards.

That is very sad becuse lizrds help us they eat misquitos.But i know everybody might not like lizards but do you like mosquitos so choose lizards or misquitos.I would choose lizards becuase i love lizards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Totally agree with both applequeen and escape 2 books. I think recycling is nessary, but global warming propoganda is rediculous. On the other hand, arnt the little lizards the cutest thing?

same here!
we had the hottest and dryest winter on record

and i agree with loka9743 the popullation the weather
and the rising sea levels!
hasn’t anyone noticed?
actually just recently some sientists have realized that most speicies of animals are moving south!
and the arctic is melting really fast! and what about the popler bears?

That is one of the reasons that polar bears are endangered!!!
They are trying to find dry land and they have to swim to do that see the picture?
And whilst doing so.. They drown!! I mean swimming across the ocean!!
