Gulf Spill Threatens Migrating Birds

Up to a billion migrating birds stop over in the Gulf of Mexico region on their annual journey southward. Although BP has capped the Deepwater Horizon leak, scientists say the birds may face ill effects from the Gulf oil spill for years to come.

the eco system will be totally messed up because the birds can’t fish then the fish get over populated and then the sharks eat to much and over populated and then the fish die off then the humans die because we don’t get fish and all the stuff for the ocean

Nat321, I am sorry about your teacher, but I’m so glad you and your school are tryiing to help out. I am scared for what is going to hapen now that the ocean is so polluted. I am thinking about cutting off my hair to help mop up the oil, because I know there are organizations that collect hair to do that. It is so sad how so many animals and other life is dying. People might not realize it, but the oil spill is going to efect the whole world, even land creatures. I am glad there are lots of people who do care and our trying to help.
