Miranda was happy being a senior in high school. She had friends and family that loved her. Mainly what she had was a normal life. All that changed one day when a meteor hit the moon unexpectedly and pushed the moon closer to earth!

The moon controls the tides and it was that night that the waves stared crashing over Florida, New York City, Los Angeles, Tokyo, and other major cities around the world!!! Millions of people started dying. People were going crazy at the grocery store as Miranda and her family stocked up on their food supply. Nobody knew how long this could last! Lightning storms exploded and volcanoes erupted. A loss of electricity and MASSIVE snow storms were causing Miranda and her family to struggle through these harsh times. They hadn’t heard from their dad and they didn’t know if they ever would once the post office closed. Would Miranda and her family live to tell the tale? Or would mankind die off and never be able to survive?

This book was absolutely amazing! I couldn’t put it down. It never got boring because it was so intense in some parts. It really gets you wondering if a meteor really could push the moon closer to earth! It also get really scary in some parts and its sort of depressing too so don’t read this if you are looking for a happy book. There are two sequels to it so I will have to find a chance to read them sometime. It is a great fiction novel!

it sounds kinda of cool but i hate hearing all the ways the world could end, even in a fictional book. i know this sound like bragging when i say this but im not; the thing is i am so smart and read so much that i know hundreds of ways the world could end and probaly thousands of ways people could die (some of them, well quite a few, refer to mythological and fantasy ends)

My cousin read a really intence book like this, and she COULD NOT put it down. Then her mom walked in and said, it’s summer, and you r reading!!!!??? Gotta luv intence books.

Just wondering: Does any1 think that this could actually happen? i think it could, cuz if a meteor is big enough, it won’t completely burn away in the atmosphere and it could hit earth!!!!!!! usually, though, the meteors that head towards earth are so small that they always burn away.

It does sound sad and depressing, but:
1. it’s just a book
2. if it’s sad, it makes the book realistic, because not every story ends happilly-ever-after in real life.

I saw TITANTIC last night. it was so sad, and it reminds me of this cuz everyone was panicking when the titantic was gong to sink. here, everyone ws panicking because the world could end.

Jordan: what age group would u suggest this 2? i’m in 6th grade, ut my sister is in 4th. she wants your opinion on whether she should read it or not (she has a hard time deciding what 2 read sumtimes, so she just loggs onto dogeared… yep! she’s a member ! )

I don’t like to read depressing books like this… I’m more of a comedy book kind of person–i absolutely loveeee Carl Hiaasen novels. Ya’ll need to read ‘em. They’re REALLY good. And, Jordan… I have a question: Does it cost money to be a member?! I am one but I have noooo idea. lol.

Zoenightshade12,this is not a book for very young people,because it it very graphic and some stuff is a bit inappropriate.But it is a great book anyway.

You know Jordan your in fact REALLY chill and you picked a book that me and my mom would love is there a movie about it? and why me and my mom would like it because she loves storms and I do to you kinda remind me of my mom in fact some storms when they have an amazing sounds we just open a little window and listen to the thunder and curl up in warm blankets next to the warm fire and think im so glad to have an amazing warm house to comfort us and thank God for it every time and fall asleep to the sound of the thunder. and one when im older i want to become a writer or an artists and put my thoughts into my paitings or through my words and spread Gods word inside my paitings and words like Mickealngio a famous painter for God his whole life that’s what I want to do with my life you probly won’t read all of this but if you do you will hear this part God bless you!

Since, I loved this book SO, much I finiesd the book in one WHOLE day, since that was true I annoced it to ALL my class today or you could say the whole school cause everybody loved the idea of it they passed it on to there friends, parents, cousins,gramas, grandpas, they even prayed they get the book for Christmas!!! You Jordan changed the WHOLE WORLD like by just one little book and not to mecion the army men who skip war just to finish the book and 8 year olds falling asleep with it in there hands. when I laid my hands on one of these book I couldn’t put it down!!!! And im not kidding!!! Girl I want to hang out with you some time only if there were some way we could? Sorry gotta go it’s time for dinner!!Siya!

I have read ALL THREE BOOKS. And trust me, if you’re in for a good-old scary apocalypse that is VERY gory and putrid and thrilling at the same time, read them. Personally, I did not enjoy them because of its putrid factor, but you definitely can’t put THESE down. The author was in the military, so that’s why she talks about death so much.

Wow When I was 13 I was Smart Im 14 now and I loved this book!It changed everything in my sight. The world could end soon though. God Said in the Catholic Bible Don’t Be afraid when the world comes to an End For all the death May Come to life And Look Beautiful It also Said The world Will end When everyone starts to guess That means Soon cause everyone is guessing espessially on FOX News I Loved this book and this comment means Guys When the world comes to an end Do not Be afraid Just be ready to get right with god so you don’t have to suffer in hell Ok?
