If you liked Everlost, then you’re sure to love Everwild, the sequel and second book in The Skinjacker Trilogy. Everwild came out a while ago, but the third book is coming out this spring so I decided to wait until it was closer to that time to review it. Everwild is the second book in the series, and follows Allie, Nick, Mary, and quite a few other characters in their journeys through Everlost. Nick is dubbed ‘The Chocolate Monster’ by Mary because of the chocolate stain that just won’t go away, and he is trying to get all of the kids in Everlost to reach the light at the end of the tunnel. Meanwhile, Mary Hightower is trying to keep them all in Everlost forever. Allie goes back home to try and find her parents, and runs into some skinjackers. Near the end of the novel, she discovers the real reason why she can skinjack–and that reason will definitely be a big factor in some huge decisions she will have to make in the third book.

I love Neal Shusterman’s writing, and he continues to amaze me with his creative and imaginative stories. I would recommend this book to pretty much all kids who aren’t freaked out by the concept of ‘ghosts.’ For more information about the series, read my review of Everlost, the first book, to see if this is for you. My favorite character was actually a new character named Zinnia (although everyone called her Zin). She had a great personality and I was constantly laughing out loud at her antics. Overall, this is yet another hit that I encourage everyone to read (but not before you read the first book).

AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I so getting book one and two. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Now that I have got that out of my system, I just want to say that the plot looks really good. Initially when I looked at book one I was not interested, but the sequel sounds good.

Listen, I don’t wanna sound rude but still, people just drop the commenting about religion thing

It I know how it must feel to have someone challenge your beliefs and its great that you believe in it so vehemently as to post your defiance on every page

but guys, come on

this is a book blog

Imagine how it feels to the bloggers, happy to have a comment but sad when its about religion and not how absolutely awesome their book reviews are (Which they are)

I’m sorry for bringing it up in the first place

So please, for me and the bloggers, stop posting anything about it, that was the past and this is the present

PDW, …(shocked and gasping) There is no reason whatsoever to feel ashamed and embarresed. Standing up and talking about your beliefs is something to be admired, NOT to be virtually slapped for. (If anyone actually does it, I am going to virtually slap them back.) This is a close knit group, so I am sure no one has any hard feelings toward you. PDW- Escape2books said it, it’s not your fault. If anything it’s mine, cause I had to debate it and drag out the debate(if you wanna give me a virtual slap,peeps,go ahead).
I think though,(maybe it’s time for another virtual slap), that it was a fun and interesting debate. We usually write comments about books, and this was just a kinda interesting change.
I agree that it may be time to stop, though…..
and it might be not-great to the bloggers,and us too. I’ll stop:). But PDW, it’s completely not your fault. You only put up one post about this, and I put up about 10. I’m the one with a big mouth.

P.S- Semabalion- If you didn’t see the other post, I agree, AWESOME IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT FOR WARRIORS!! The only reason I say that is that Harry Potter is my ultimate fav…..Warriors is 2 inches away from it. What’s your favorite cat and clan?????

PDW , jindo2108 I understand the debating can make you feel uneasy we wont do that with this book lol . I dont know about this book if my library has it i might check it out . it sounds exciting. lol no virtual slaps or anything like that , that book the evolution of calpurna tate or something like that .I just couldnt resist having something to say about that . But i respect you decisions in books and anything else for that matter -

I tried looking for Everwild at the book store, but I couldn’t find it. I’m going to bug my parents to take me to the library over the weekend, so I might find it there! BTW, my favorite Clan is ShadowClan. My favorite cat is Russetfur. Yeah, my friend who’s also a Warriors mega-fan thinks its crazy, too. At the same time, while I love the least popular Clan, I despise Slytherin from Harry Potter. My fave house is Ravenclaw.
