Farewell, Bhutan

On our last day in Bhutan we hiked to Tiger’s Nest, which is one of the oldest monasteries in Bhutan and is perched on the top of a cliff. The view was breathtaking. It took us about 3 hours to get to the top and about one ½ hours to get down.

The food in Bhutan is really good, but we were very excited to have pizza one more time when we got back to town. After lunch we played at the playground in town.

That evening we had an incredible farewell dinner that we shared with
Hishey’s family, Chimme and Kinley. It was an amazing night. I played
with Hishey’s children, we had dinner around a bon fire and there was
traditional singing and dancing that I got to participate in. The stars
that night were outstanding. I was so sad when I had to say goodbye to
everyone. We took some of the singers and dancers with us and dropped
them of on the way to our hotel. While we were in the car they had a
singing war, girls against boys, and the girls won. When we woke up we
packed our bags and went to the airport where we had to say goodbye to
Chhimi, Kinley and the magical country of Bhutan.

I hope I get to visit
Bhutan again.
Goodbye, Bhutan!
