AUTHOR: Rick Riordan

Hello! It’s Hunter! My review today is on Rick Riordan’s newest book, The Son of Neptune. Have I mentioned before that Rick Riordan is my favorite author? This book is an example of why I love just about anything he writes.

In The Son of Neptune, Percy (from the Percy Jackson series, also written by Rick Riordan) is at a Roman camp for half-bloods. He has lost his memory though! The only thing he can remember is one name–Annabeth. We are also introduced to two demigods, Hazel and Frank. I really liked these new friends of Percy and hope that they appear in other books too. Hazel is interesting. She was once dead and then brought back to life by Nico (also from the Percy Jackson series). Frank is very cool. He has a special gift–he can be anything he wants to be! Anyway, they go on a quest with Percy to try to free Death. They also try to join the Greek and Roman camps together so that the Prophecy of Seven can be fulfilled.

I like the way Rick Riordan has a couple of plots going at the same time. It makes this book really exciting and hard to put down. So do you think Percy, Hazel and Frank are successful? Read the book to find out! If you’re 8 years old or older, I think you will love The Son of Neptune like I did.

    I looooooooooooove this book!!! It rocks sooooooooooooooo much! but I do recomend reading The Lost Hero. It makes it a little easier to understand. I think Rick Riordan did a fanstastic job on writing this. You know what isn’t the best thing in the world? The NEXT BOOK IS COMING OUT IN MAY OR APRIL!!! I am a major fan greek mythology! If you don’t believe me, check out MOONGODDESS_60!!! I love the series. Rock on!!!!

    I COULD NOT PUT DOWN THIS BOOK! Exciting plot, great surprises, and amazing details! We applaud you Rick Riordan. Can’t wait for the next one.

    Actually the next book The Mark of Athena is not coming out till next fall but the final book in the kane Chronicles is coming out in the spring.

    I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH AND ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE ENDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don’t wanna spoil it for all the rest of the readers. The really funny thing is that I just bought that book and finished it today. READ IT!!!!!!!!! :D <3

    omg this book is BEST!!!! I absolutly adore it i wish so mucch that i can be one of the charecters in this story!!!!!!……Anyway how do you become a blogger???

    This book was a bit disappointing. I am a REALLY big Rick Roirdan fan. After reading this book I was just really upset. Leo is the fire guy that’s going to save them all, Frank is the guy with powerful descendants, Jason’s the son of Jupiter, and Percy’s the “glue” that keeps them all together? GLUE? Just “glue”? That really disappoints me. After getting so attached to Percy, Rick Roirdan has made him the guy behind the curtain. Now he’s just a sticky solution. I think Percy should have had a bigger part. :(

    This book is so good!!!!!!!!!!!! My parents bought it for me and wouldn’t let me read it until I paid them back for it!!!!! I ENDED UP PAYING MOSTLY IN QUARTERS AND THEN FINISHED IT TWO DAYS LATER!!!!!! BEST 17 DOLLARS OF MY LIFE!!!

    @Alyss Its not really ABOUT Percy, this is a whole new series, Percy isnt the main character anymore, he’s just there as a side character.

    I like the Greeks better than the Romans, the romans are WAY to serious for my liking!!!

    Im reading this book right now!! Its AWESOME!!! Even been reading it a little in clase! ;) I can’t put it down! I read the Lost Hero first, but it just wasn’t as good. You should read this book! :)

    i was just messing around on th computer and I wanted to know…if theres anyone else out there who has an obsession with rickr and all his books?(expesailly pjo and hoo)love this book and cant WAIT until mark of athena but before you read this you should read percy jackson books and the lost hero.i agree with many of you that the lost hero wasnt as good as SON i loved this book!plz answer my question!and by the way the mark of athena cover art and 1st chapter are out now!

    i love rick roidan’s mythology books if you like these books try the book “emerald atlas”. believe me, these books are good. i have moved all the way to Finland and all my friend like it. in america and finland

    hmm….i loved the percey jakson series and the lost hero to but i just cant get in to this book! did rick riordan write this difrently?

    I love this book sooooooooooooooooooo much! Also, you should read The Lost Hero so you can understand The Son of Neptune. By the way, The Mark of Athena is AWESOME!!!!!
