BOOK NAME: The Lost Hero
AUTHOR: Rick Riordan

Hello, blog readers. I’m back again and excited to share my review of another great Rick Riordan book! This time I’m reviewing The Lost Hero. It rocks!

The Lost Hero is the first book of a new series. It starts off a while after The Last Olympian left off but there are brand new characters! Jason who has no memory, his girlfriend Piper, and Leo who can make fire appear are the three main ones. My favorite is Leo, by the way, because he is really funny and likable, but they are all pretty cool. You can get to know them well in this book because each chapter is from a different character’s point of view.

One of my favorite things about this book is that it didn’t disappoint me. I thought that after reading and loving the Percy Jackson series, I would not like this new series as much but I was very wrong. The Lost Hero includes a lot of mythology in the story which is awesome and brings back a lot of the characters from the Percy Jackson series. It also has lots of suspenseful parts and surprises which made me want to go out and buy the next book in the series right away. I think you should too!

I agree. This book was amazing. I finnished it in about a week and i found i couldn’t put it down! It is a little confusing at the start because it kind of seems like you are coming into the book halfway through. But that is ok because it all makes sense after a couple of pages. It was very funny and there was a lot of interesting facts thrown in.
I would recomend this book to anyone (girls or boys) who like adventure and don’t mind a slightly cofusing start.

I LOVED this book! I was a bit disapointed when I found out that Percy wasn’t in it. But I soon was loving the other charecters. I also loved how much they changed perspectives. The book was nonstop adventure and I ended uo not being to put it down! (happens a lot) You should also read the Son of Neptune! I loved this book even more! (well, it had Percy in it too!) Its the secound book in this series. Sorry that my post is so long! Bye! (I guess?) :)

This book is AMAZING!!!!! I recommend it for avid readers of PJO. I hate to say it, but this book could be viewed as even better than PJO!!!!!

    <3

    zoe I:)

p.s. I recently met Rick Riordan, and he said that, in addition to this series, he may eventually do one about Norse mythology! (For those who don’t know what that is, I will be kind and tell you so you don’t have to ask your parents or go on google. Norse mythology comes from Norway and has a lot to do with trolls.)
p.p.s. Can someone please do a review on Sabriel? It’s REALLY good and I think that there are a lot of people who would <3 it!

I read the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series about five times and I was really sad when it ended. I have been really scared to read this new series because I loved the characters and plot of the other one so much. Now I think that I will try it because of this review. Thanks! =)

yea i think leo is totaly funny and piper and jason are totaly inlove! at first i didnt realize who annabeth was because that was the first book i read from rick riordian so then i started to read the percy jackson series and i started to understand everything and why jason, leo, and piper were there. i feel so bad for pipers dad i mean a giant captured him, tied him to a rope hanging him unconciously over a fire about eat him!

I think Rick Riordan’s books are AWESOME, but he made a mistake in the Greek mythology. Athena, goddess of wisdom and crafts, actually, like Artemis, vowed never to marry. In the books, she had lots of kids, including Annabelle, one of the main characters. The reason I know this is because I have actually been to Greece and I had to read up on Greek mythology. It would be great if Rick Riordan did a series on Norse mythology, which is really, really cool. Two awesome books for these two different and equally fascinating mythologies are “D’aulaires’ Book of Greek Myths” and D’aulaires’ Book of Norse Myths”. They are really awesome books if you want to learn everything about the ancient myths and cultures of two separate civilizations.
    GO RICK RIORDAN!!!!!!!
