A four-year-old Pekingese named CH Palacegarden Malachy (or Malachy for short) won Best in Show at the 2012 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in New York City on Tuesday. This is the fourth time a Pekingese has won, but the last time a member of this breed was top dog was 22 years ago! The Pekingese breed gets its name from the Chinese capital city of Beijing, which used to be known as Peking.

Aww! That puppy is so cute! I wish I had a Pomeranian but my mom won’t let me. My my! I would like to go to a dog show. It’s name is too long so i just call it Malachy, its a perfect name for a Pekingese! Wow,a pekingese had won a show 22 years. I thought a poodle would be a top dog winner forever! And I think Dalmatians are the best behaviored dogs and my neighbor has 2 chihuahuas and used to have a Pomeranian but it died. :(
