New “Bumblebee” Gecko Discovered

A new gecko species has been found in Papua New Guinea. This black and gold striped gecko is called Nactus kunan, from the word, kunan, which means “bumblebee” in the local Nali language. Scientists think that this lizard’s coloration helps it stay hidden on the rain forest floor.

    The only thing I don’t like about him is his colors. They’re GT (Georgia Tech) colors. Yuck! I do like the way he looks though. It’s amazing to have all these different animals on this earth, isn’t it?

    I think it’s cool looking. I wonder what we’ll discover next. There’s a whole lot of undiscovered species in this world. Who knows how many are out there, waiting to be discovered?

    geckos have soft velvety skin and lizards have protective scales. also geckos have large eyes for they are nocturnal, and lizards are diernal thats why they like to sunbake.

    anyways… that’s a fine specimen!
    nice gecko. cool colours!
