Author Maurice Sendak Dies

Children’s author and illustrator Maurice Sendak died yesterday. He was the author and illustrator of many books, including Where the Wild Things Are, Chicken Soup with Rice, and In the Night Kitchen.

    Where the Wild Things Are He was a great man God Bless his soul and Him, And This is the first comment cool!!!!! But I Loved His Books! And the Movie of where the wild things are was cool. I have to go Bye!

    Maurice sendak was a really good author he wrote one of my favorite books were the wild things are.I enjoyed reading the book so thats why I went to see the move too.

    That is so sad im very sad to here that he died he was an amazing person and athor. Where The Wild Things Are is favorite book

    i like the books ‘chicken soup with rice’ and ‘in the night kitchen’ and ‘where the wild things are’ but i hate the movie ‘where the wild things are’

    i like those books (i read them all even though they are kid books and i am ten) but i really hate the movie ‘where the wild things are’

    I used to read “Where the Wild Things Are” all the time!!! It’s so sad to lose such an amazing author/illustrator. :(

    so sad. i loved his illustrations. they were so great. fav book: where the wild things are. there is another book that i love more than where the wild things are, but i just can’t think of it. :(

    Agreed spidergirl. The Where the Wild Things Are movie was pretty bad- I think it destroyed the “childish” element of the story. And yes, the Where the Wild Things Are was my favorite. :( Maurice Sendak will be remembered by all of his fans.
