Birds-of-Paradise Exhibit Features Beautiful Birds!

The birds-of-paradise of Australia and New Guinea are visually stunning and have amazing courtship dances. A new exhibit at the National Geographic Museum highlights all 39 species of these incredible birds with photography and video.

The exhibit is open now and will be at the National Geographic Museum through May 12, 2013.

    Cool bird :) Not that I want one as a pet..I think birds should be wild and not tamed cause birds can fly people! Don’t stop them i mean if u could fly but people were putting u in cages how would u feel? I don’t really like people with birds sorry i wasn’t meant to offend anybody, i just saying birds are different than cats or dogs. :P

    dogs and cats really aren’t any different EJ:) …or werent to be honest. think about who they descended from bfor we tamed them…lions, cougars, leopards, wolves, wild dogs…etc.
    just sayin’. i TOTs agree on the bird-cage part though :)

    Some people say that penguins can fly but they cant .Just because they are a type of bird doesn’t mean they can fly.btw cool looking bird.

    I would not like a pet bird because they are very noisy and how could I sleep at night or take a nap.

    That bird is so cool!!!!!! but I don’t want one as a pet and I totally agree that birds shouldn’t be locked up in cages EJ:)
