The Lightning Thief sounds like a good book, but the name sounds like 'The Book Thief', (you may or may not of heard about that one). It was still a good book review!

This is one of my favorite books! It's really hard to find a modern-day book with Greek mythology, and Rick Riordan is one of my favorite authors! And to HARTWI, there are more books in this series: The Sea of Monsters, The Titan's Curse, The Battle of the Labriynth, and The Last Olympian.

I love The Lightning Thief! It is so good! I just read it and am looking forward to the second book.

I read this book "the lightning thief" and I wold really recommend it to everyone ages 6-18 I loved the book.

I love this book I wanted to learn about the Greek Mytholgy and when my brother bought it I really wanted to read it.Once I read the first page I had to finish it.I am going to read the rest of the series.

I read Lightning Theif when you read the first chapter you have to read the whole book. Then if you read the whold bood you have to read the second. Right now I am looking for the thrid book. I read the second last night you will love this bood series.

P.S.Those were only the first two books in that series but there is another book to it but it's kind of dissturbing so that's why I didn't mention it earlier.

I have read the Lightning Theif for my book club & I highly recomend it. At first I thought that it wouldn't be good. Boy, was I wrong! You have to be into mythology to know what's going on at times. The Lightning Theif is an incredible read. You won't forget this book once you read it!

I think the lighting thief was a great book. It shows action, adventure, comedy, and betryal. I think it is agreat book for ages 10-13.

I love mythology. I haven't read the book yet but some kids in my class have and they said it was good. Charlie Brown, I love the Inheritance series, did you hear they're making another book for the series.

First of all you got the names all WRONG! Its Annabeth and Grover the SATYR!!!!! Gosh and how could you rate the book 4 out of 5 .Its more like5 out of 5! Probly the reason you gave it a 4 out of 5 is because you don't know about the Greek Gods! They are the best series in the WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Lightning Thief sounds like it is a good book I am thinking about reading it and I like adventure,mythical books.

This book is totally GREAT! I've only read the first
one, but so far so good! Ares was super funny and so was Medusa. The ending was a HUGE shocker. I read about Kronos. He slayed his father (the sky) because his mother (the Earth)was unhappy because his brothers (the cyclops and some other creature) were thrown into a deep trench type thing called Tartarus because they were ugly in Sky guy's eyes. Kronos freed his brothers and became king of the universe. He married his sister Rhea, and they had Demeter, Hera, Zeus, Posidon, Hades,and another girl ( I can't remember her name). The Oracle had told Kronos that one of his children will overthrow him like he did his father. So he swallowed all of his children except Zeus, who Rhea hid in a cave with nymphs. Zeus grew up and married a woman named Metis (who he later swallowed because The Oracle told him that if Metis had a son, he would overthrow him like his father had done and he did later, but instead they had Athena) who assisted him in rescuing his siblings by a special potion. Then they had a big war, and the gods won over the Titans. Titans went to Tartarus, world was divided between brothers, and hence, mythology as we know it

Oh my gods!!!! This book is soooo awesome. I'm 11, so to me this book is kinda short, and kind of easy, but to me, this is only the best book in the world! I finished this book in 2 days, and I usually only do that that to the HP series and the Septimus Heap series. Jordan, I'm sorry to say that you got the names wrong. I should know, because I own and read the whole series. The names are Grover the Satyr and Annabeth the Demigod. In order to restrain myself from reading The Last Olympian, I literally had to lock it up. To me, this book was NEVER scary. The review is a tad bit off from the plot.

I haven't read this book yet, but my cousin did and he said it was phenomonal! (I know that is spelled wrong...) I plan on reading the books soon- maybe over the summer.

My friend is in love with this book. She gave me a copy, but the beginning was boring, and i found other books to read. Now that i no what happens, i will prolly start reading it again. BTW, i THOUGHT there was somthing strange about grover!

Ok, last night i read the book and it was....(dramatic drumroll plz).....COMPLEATLY AND UTTERLY AWESIME!!!! If u r a double didgit midgit-10 or up- I highly reccomend this book. Sea of monsters is next on my list!

I started reading this book and I didn't think it was very good, so I stopped. I don't really like mythilgical stuff. My favorite kind of book is adventure fictional books. Those are the kinds of books I write.

My best friend LOVES those books and maybe I should read them. I have not met one person that does not like these books than some of the much bigger name series.

I have read the Lightning Thief and I absolutely love it! I especially like how they mix Greek Mythology with the present day. The part of the book were they ("they meaning Annabeth, Percy, and Grover) go to the Garden Gnome Epitorium and the Underworld shook me a little but it is still a wonderful and extraordinary book! I RECOMMEND IT FOR ALL AGES! (well maybe not in infants and toddlers, but every age above that)
