Eleven

ElevenBOOK NAME: Eleven
AUTHOR: Lauren Myracle

Winnie is turning eleven and realizes that things are changing in the world and in herself. First of all, her best friend Amanda is dumping Winnie for another girl who is just a snob. Then, her older sister is moody all the time. Next a dork in the class wants to hang out all the time with Winnie and that does not help Winnie's coolness factor. Lastly all of the girls in her class have a boyfriend except for her. Winnie will find a way to make things better but that might mean giving up something.

I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My friends had been telling me that it was such a good read and I needed to buy it. It has many sequels which I will surely get and blog on. It is very interesting because there's love, competition, friendship and fighting. It's neat because the story is told in each month of the year so that means that there are twelve chapters. It never EVER got boring and it was a learning adventure.

I would definitely not miss reading this book especially if your are a girl who likes some fun fiction. Post a comment if you have ever been dumped by a friend like Winnie.

Eleven was a really good book, but the second (Twelve) was ok,and the third (Thirteen) was just not worth reading,in my opinion.

Iloved this book.I can relate to Winnie with her friendship trobles.I also loved the second book (Twelve)and i am looking forward to reading the third book (Thirteen)

The book sounds cool. I'd probably be her moody older sister. :)

I can relate to some of the things Winnie is going through but having a boyfriend really shouldn't be that important I am older that she is and I still don't worry about that kind of stuff, but that doesn't mean I completely avoid boys even though they ar gross, and wierd, and did I mention wierd?

read all three. great books. funny story actually. i got eleven at a book fair, and when i started reading it, Winnie's birthday was the same date it was in real life. i find it funny.

Sounds like a great book!

i love that book it is the best and i feel the same way that winne dose! i read the book and did the some things they did and i feel like a new person!

This sounds like a great book! I've seen this book and it's sequals in like every bookstore and library around River Forest! I'm deffenetly going to try and get this.

I had a best friend in 1&2 grade i am in 6 grade now but she and i hung out alot. i went over her house and played with her and her older sis. she did not like that i played with her older sis. Just 2 say we are no longer friends. i would love 2 read this book. i should cheak it out of the library!

looks like a great read just be careful when you type eleven into the librarys catalog theres also a really creepy looking adults book called eleven

Iagree with emmierox33. I have not read Eleven but from whatI can tell her priorities are wrong. I am twelve and I have a friend who has a boyfriend. I don't care that I that I don't have one. I don't want one. I find boys entertaining and fun. I am going to wait until I am older. Though I can understand her being lonely. I don't have much friends myself.

Sounds cool!

OMG!!! i LOVED that book!!!

Well, GEEZ. I like Lauren Myracle's books, and I might read this one, but...a boyfriend? At age eleven? I don't know anyone my age who's dating, and I'm older than 11. Boys are great as friends, but as boyfriends? Before, like, age 13? Just...no. No.

hey spock9 I'd probably be the moody older sister, too! My friend just called me moody the other day, and I'm like, "Gee, thanks."

this looks like a good book!!!!!

seems pretty interesting! :-)
