Tom Sawyer (Graphic Novel)

BOOK NAME: Tom Sawyer
AUTHOR: Mark Twain
Adapted Tim Mugg, Writer and Rad Sechrist, Artist
Review by Reed Golomb
(Note - this is a graphic novel adaption of the story from Sterling Publishing)

Tom Sawyer Graphic NovelThis is a graphic novel of the famous story Tom Sawyer. It's about a boy named Tom Sawyer and his best friend Huckleberry Finn, who's an orphan.

They have these crazy adventures. Once Huck found a dead cat and he said that if you put it on a just-buried persons' grave, the devil will come and take the cat. And as a reward, the devil will take a wart away - no matter how big it is. So they put the dead cat on a grave and Tom thinks he sees the devil. But really it was grave robbers. Tom and Huck go hide behind a tree and the grave robbers end up getting into a fight and one gets killed. Tom is an eye witness and has to go to court because he saw what really happened. He frees the guy who didn't kill him, and says who it really was - Injun Joe. Joe jumps out the window and runs away.

The rest of the book is other cool adventures like once they went to an island and they forgot to tie their raft up. They were stuck there for a day! But don't worry...he meets Injun Joe again.

This is just one classic book that's a graphic novel. There are others in the series like Dracula.

I'm reading The Magician's Elephant next. It's by Kate Dicamillo who also wrote Tales of Despereaux which I reviewed. See ya next time.

read the book for english. kinda lame.

I would LOVE to see the Dracula one! Somebody, PLEASE DO A REVIEW ON IT!!!!

I don't get why people make graphic novels of famous children's books. Alex Rider graphic novels I can understand, but really? Tom Sawyer?

Mark Twain is a great author.

MARK TWAIN ROCKS!

Thanks Reed. That was an awsome report and I am sure now what to expect when I tell my mom to purchase that book!

wow something posted on the day i got my braces! SORRY LOOKS SUPER BORING!

GOOOOOOOOOOOOO TWILIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm Emelie, the one who entered in the report for, "Dizzy".

If possible, read my book report that I entered in. If ya like it... feel free to vote!

PLEASE VOTE FOR ME!

Don't mind SummerGirl.

She is the one who put in the book report for Twilight.

Anyway, this actually looks interesting.
I REALLY like whoever the illustrator is!

APPALOOOSA

I read Twilight and totally LOVED it!
I'm so voting for u Summer Girl!

I read both "Twilight" and "Dizzy"! They're both totally awesome! I hope I can vote for both summergirl and Appalooosa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can I?

Oh no! I haven't read Twilight (which automatically means I didn't read the rest of the saga) or Dizzy!!! I am soooo wanting to read Twilight mostly but my mom says it is too 'grown up' for me even if I have proof it isn't!! How did you get your mom to agree???
I HAVE TO READ THOSE BOOKS!!!!

I just finished "The Elephant's Magician" by Kate DiCamillo and it was AWESOME!!!!
I have also read "The Tale of Desperaux" and it was also very good. I think Kate DiCamillo is my fav. author.

Actually, I wrote Twilight, not summergirl. Congrads, Emelie, for winning!

Has anyone read the book Ivanhoe? It's supposed to be a very good book. If someone happens to read it, could you do a book report on it?

I read the shortened original, it's really good! Why read a graphic novel when you can read the great shortened original?

I read the book for "literature circle" (THE ORIGINAL) in my 4-6 grade class. Read the original too! Its not that hard. BTW, only the last Twiglight is kind of 'grown up',but you will probably be bored by them anyways.

da book looks good. i'll read it
