I hope NG gets this blog up and running again! I can't wait until I find out where NG is going next for the HOEC contest! My aunt recently went on a trip and visited every country in South America except for French Guyana. Because she knows that I have grown a liking for Peru and its culture she bought me this beautiful, hand-carved, fish-shaped book stand that was made in Peru! Also, on the tag it says that all the proceeds go to the most needy villages in Peru! It's so beautiful! I put all my favorite/special books in that book stand!

Hey Everyone!
I just can't wait any longer! I have checked the blog every single day and nothing yet. Well, it will be worth the wait when the winners are posted! CONGRUATULATIONS HANDS ON EXPLORERS 2009! You guys are the luckiest bunch of kids in the world! I am too old to enter now, I'll be 15 July...hey maybe they'll create a contest for us "old folks" haha

well enjoy your trip!
YOUR GONNA HAVE A BLAST!!!!

IT'S WORKING AND THEY POSTED THE WINNERS!!!!!
YAY!!!

Yeah, I wish they had a national geographic magazine for teenagers. There's national geographic kids, and then the one for adults, but nothing in between. I love both of the magazines, but it would be nice if there was one just right. Then there would be a contest for our age! Oh well. At least I have one more chance!
