The whole Amazon forest has been the most amazing thing I have ever experienced in my life. One thing that really thrilled me though was the canopy tower. After a muddy hike through the jungle, we reached a rickety (well, it looked rickety) metal tower that seemed to stretch on forever and ever up into the sky.
Around and around we went up the winding metal stairs. Only after I was convinced the metal structure never ended, we were at the top. For a moment, I didn't dare breathe. Stretching out below me was an endless expanse of wonderful trees.

Brazil nut trees stood out above the others, though they were all bigger than the trees we have at home. It was a leafy green sea housing countless varieties of monkeys, birds, reptiles, and many other creatures. At that moment, I didn't believe that this wonderful place could ever be destroyed, though deep down I knew it could.
Cutting through all this was a beautiful river that stretched as far as my eyes could see. This was the moment when I was inspired to save this beautiful oasis. It was the most breathtaking sight that could be seen. Along with Machu Picchu, I think the view from that canopy tower should be one of the seven wonders of the world.

What a spectacular site! It must have been so much fun and so rewarding to have climbed that tower (though you thought the staircase was endless)! I also loved your photo too. What a trip!
