Whale fossils by the road? That's what scientists found in Chile's Atacama Desert, more than half a mile from the Pacific coast, experts say.
Twenty whale fossils--5 million years old!--were found together, but why? To uncover the mystery, scientists will be closely studying the site, called Cerro Ballena ("Whale Hill"), and the fossils themselves.
One theory is that a storm pushed the whales to shore, and the animals were then poisoned by toxins released in the water by microscopic organisms, said Nicholas Pyenson, the lead paleontologist on the excavation.

That is so cool but i wounder if there is a graveyard for goats,fish,horses and that kind of stuff you know in the book believe it or not there was this lady and she had a only dog graveyard i was like wow i would not like to do that to cute animals would you??????????
no! but one thing I don't think that that it is 5 million years old cause earth is only about 5 thousand year old.

No earth is older than 5 thousand years old jamiekid because how would the plates shift from pangea to where they are at now in just 5 thousand years. I think it is millions of years old.
