Elliot: The Rain Forest
Posted by Hi, it’s Elliot again. I’m on the way home but I wanted to write one last blog about the trip.
The rain forest is a really cool place but we didn’t see as much as we might have because of really unusual weather while we were there. The temperatures were in the 60′s instead of the 90′s like we expected. Most of the animals were cold and hiding but we did still see some really cool stuff.
One highlight for me was that we saw all of the five different species
of Amazonian macaws. Another was a mouse possum that I spotted in the
dark with the help of my flashlight. It was eating a spider almost as
big as it was (check out the photo I took).
