Camping Trip

You won't believe it! I went camping! Every year grade five goes on a camping trip to the Dana nature reserve. Dana is a village in the south of Jordan that is four hours away from were I live in Amman (the capital of Jordan). On Thursday I woke up super excited but at the same time nervous (since me and my class were going to be camping there in tents). I went to school ready with my sleeping bag, clothes, and packed lunch and went onto the bus to start my journey.

My Birthday!

I am very lucky because the day of my birthday was on multicultural day at school, multicultural day at school is when all of us dress up from different countries and present them to the school(it will be in my next post for more details). So because of multicultural day we didn't have lessons, so there was no lessons on my birthday.  But the luckier part was that my mom told me that I am allowed to pick five friends and take them down to the Dead Sea for the day!!! I got so excited so I invited five of my friends to come from school with me to the Dead Sea to celebrate my birthday!

Photo: The Dead Sea

Photo: Sign at Dead SeaThe Dead Sea is a place 40 minutes away from were I live(Amman the capital of Jordan) it is the lowest point on earth and is so much fun.

There are swimming pools and beaches, and special mud that is very good for the skin. Lots of people go there for medical reasons as well as just to enjoy the weather, pools and beaches.

You may be thinking why it is called the Dead Sea; well it is called the Dead Sea because it is so salty that there are no animals living in it. A very cool fact about it is that if you swim in the Sea, you FLOAT  because of all the salt in it!
Me and my friends went down with my family and we had a blast.
We first went to the room in the  Hotel and changed into our swimming suits and then we hit the pool.

Exams

I am sure you have exams in your school, and I do too. Exam week just finished I am happy I survived!! There was so much studying to do. In my school we have exams and there are so many subjects that I have to study, and I am going to share them with you.

On Monday we had the most horrible and hardest exam out of all of them--ARABIC! I was so nervous the day before, I was studying really hard hoping to get a good mark. And when I took the exam at school I was okay. It wasn't that bad after all. Next came English grammar. I love English so I wasn't that worried--I usually get good marks. It didn't take that long to study for it and I think I did really well in the exam.

On Wednesday we had science. We don't take science in Arabic, we take it in English and we just finished learning about the heart. The exam was okay but it needed a bit of thinking. In our school we take religion; at first I didn't think I was ready for the religion exam, because I was a little behind. I hope I did well!

I hope I get great marks in my exams. They still didn't give us any of our marks. Good luck to you all in your exams: trust me I know  how you feel when your mom tells you to go and sit down and study!

P.S If you're wondering where's the math exam: that comes later. And my birthday is coming up!! I will stay in touch bye!
